Next week is already finished (it’s about memorials). After that some tantalising things I would like to know more about are the Joseph Roth Diele restaurant and Ave Maria shop, the Luftraum and history of the 19C villas, the French community in history and present day, the red light district, the faiths in our neighbourhood, the green library project … I cannot attempt them all. Any favourites? Anything I missed?

The hippie wife, the prince, his mistress, the cuckolded husband and the father of Protestantism: According to my history book, Joachim and Elizabeth‘s marital issues scandalized the country during the Reformation, and Martin Luther himself was called upon to resolve it. What happened is I-kid-you-not wilder than any reality TV show out of our times. It is too involved to detail here, but you can find it in German in the book above. I can also post a photo of the two pages, if anybody wants, and a Lia-level rough translation.
